Bright-coloured monotypes (2012) of the first space satellites, Sputnik I (1957) and Vanguard I (1958), were sliced up into enough pieces to work in the Sketchbook format.
Wander-Thirst was a 1906 poem learned in Canadian schools in the 1960s, and it seemed a random choice.
However, in ordering the satellite prints to match the 1906 poem, the poem's words surprisingly parallel the space race.
