My father was a storyteller. At bedtime, he told my brother, my sister and me stories. In his artwork, he illustrated scenes from his childhood, places and events he rarely talked about until near the end of his life when they appeared in his memoirs. I often wondered if he had ever thought of merging these stories and drawings; hence, this small effort to bring coherence to what was left to me.
