This book reflects visual "letters" to my older self from my younger self about what I really enjoy - what matters to me. Instead of bogging down in the everyday worries of life my younger self wants me to remember what is important and keep that in mind. This really hits home at times of great loss and, when you come out on the other side of grief you are changed but you know what really mattered in a life.
As an artist I am motivated to continually find those moments of "losing" myself in a work. That's the moment when your doubting and rational mind are quiet and your passion and creativity can flow. If you lose time when you are creating you are doing something that expresses your inner self - your own light.
