I replace blank spots with vivid depictions of daydreams.
What we do with our time will not be remembered as much as the things we leave behind—ideas, objects, and substances become the cultural repository from which all of us contribute and collect. These are the threads that create a collective battery; a celestial cloud reflecting back from space and into a pond from which everyone is entitled to drink from and spit something back. I work with a wide range of materials and subject matter not limiting myself to any particular medium. I treat each single artwork as an individual meditation—like things ingested and the shapes they become. Art has a social purpose and my cultural obligation as an artist is to approach the world as an enthusiastic scientist rediscovering the complexities of modern life.
