"Becoming Her Self" depicts a person's inner journey, a cycle that occurs many times over a lifetime. Here, an adult female meets and integrates parts of her psyche, symbolized by a girl (puella in Carl Jung's terms), a boy (puer), an infant (inner child), and an adult male (animus). The red circle in the beginning pages (made from a recycled lampshade) grows larger by the end, to reflect the light of final integration (this time around, anyway).
