This sketchbook is a collection of poems written during a two-year period of heartbreak and depression in New York City. The poems illustrate the journey of the author's recovery in 12 stages, where she grapples with shock, confusion, jealousy, denial, grief, hopelessness, isolation, desperation, and release. The writing is extremely personal and is extracted from the author's journals that she never planned to share to the world. To complete her healing and fully integrate her emotions, she made the decision to let her journey be seen and her voice be heard.
