I love this project and am resisting sending it on today because i have a hard time letting go. I began by unstapling the original pages and adding a GESSO area with a taped border then using COPIC markers on all of the edges which soak through on these pages. My art journal practice began in 1968 and has been a daily ritual ever since. Even though I now have nearly 400 completed journals, this one seems hard to send to Brooklyn. I teach this art form to all ages of people, in schools, in art centers and around my kitchen table. It is in these pages and in these sessions that I have learned to grow as an artist and to grow as an individual. Although it won't be included in the digitized version, I am pouring my Self into the wrapping and layering and stitching and making of the blanket type of package to ship to the new Brooklyn location. With love, Jane
