I am an architect very interested in the history of technology. These sketches explore ways in which machines can be humanistic and legible. I searched for archetypal examples of analog physical objects and devices whose potent designs appeal intuitively to our human bodies and dramatically extend our reach and perception. Imagine a gentler and more modest alternative to our overly digital existence, in which our machines edify our connection to the real world instead of alienating and disconnecting us.
