I waited for a long time before actually drawing anything in my sketchbook, because I wanted the first thing to come out to be this perfectly formed, beautiful, aesthetically pleasing image that would CHANGE THE WORLD. Then my good pal Stephanie Alaniz pointed out that not everything has to be this life-changing, fully rendered photorealistic being. And so my project began, a stream of consciousness, in the moment babble of whatever I thought of within a second. Lots of cats. And things in things. Dumb, silly doodles and failed business ideas and incredibly lame puns. I want people to take me seriously (as a human and an artist), but sometimes my careful, thought-out projects don't have the same genuine and honest tone that I would like.
