What if you collected your data for a month? What would it reveal about you?
Inspired by 'Dear Data' a year-long analog data drawing project by Giorgia Lupi and Stefanie Posavec, I embarked on my own data journey in January 2017.
Filling a 31 page sketchbook i found out a lot about myself. Some days i would capture my own data, sometimes that of social media, newspapers or events i went to. Each page represents a topic i found interesting or chose at random for that day.
Looking back the spontaneity of our lives is a key reflection. No two pages are the same. Maybe i would have found more about myself if i'd chosen one topic to study for a month, but the self-expression of each page gives a viewer a snapshot of my life. Some days there is a key to figure out what the data means, and others i leave that up to the viewer.
