Ansel Oommen and Jessica Jane Lloyd embarked on an adventure together through the urban jungle of Brooklyn during the summer of 2016. As part of their capstone project with the Nature Conservancy, the dynamic duo took on the challenge of portraying the complex subject of invasive species through a graphic medium. Set in a whimsical urban environment, Kudzu takes on the role of the complex antagonist as its narrative explores some of the benefits and unexpected problems that follow the introduction of an outsider into a new home.
