My intent with this book was to make obvious the distance between an artist and his subjects. A storyline may also be evident, although symbolism and satire override any logical plot. Some vintage sketches from my files are dated; the bulk of the sketches are new. A table of contents gives each piece a simple title (hopefully without pretentious affront). Some sketches have additional info written on them. Each page connects to one or more pages, however clumsily done. Nudity and "adult content" flowed into the storyline during the artistic process despite my initial intent to create a G-rated book... All apologies if it's offensive to puritans or prudes or progressives or parents or patrons of censored arts! But to stifle any creative flow that colors outside established lines reduces an artist to a tool of society rather than of the soul, and I wanted this book to be authentic as well as distinctive.
My little sketchbook is anyway full of glitches. In fact, the last time I studied art seriously was in 1993.
