I've always felt like I was a better copier than a creator. I was, and often still am, afraid that I wouldn't be able to create/write/say anything original that meant something. I dwelled in this fear, this stupid little box that I squeezed myself in, content (mostly) to admire the works of others. This book, this year's challenge on hope/fear, meets me mid-journey. I'm still living in this fear of unoriginality/incompetency, but I'm taking a step—a small one—towards hope. Towards a personal fight for self-worth and self-love. To create/write/say something, anything, and put it out there. Thank you for meeting me halfway.
