I work with a repetitive process consisting of short strokes that together define a geometry. The geometry is composed relative to the boundaries of the sketchbook itself and occasionally I'll open a window from one page to the next. The drawings were not done in sequence, rather I started in the middle and filled in the sketchbook over time randomly. I am an architect and that is where I draw my inspiration from-building forms, landscape, details, materials, and texture. For me the process is meaningful, developing this sketchbook offered the opportunity to test, to think, and to work systematically.
