Clodagh Holahan is a Fine Arts graduate of Ireland's National College of Art and Design and a practising artist. Her artworks are mainly inspired by the natural environment and they also reflect her life experience and her interests. In her art, Holahan demonstrates a love of pattern and decoration which is evident in her sketchbook. She works in various media including: pencil, ink, gouache, tempera, watercolours and acrylics. She also sculpts in bronze through which she explores emotional themes in semi-abstract human forms. Holahan has exhibited throughout Europe and Australia and the USA. Having an opportunity for my work to be seen in this sketchbook format allows me to express different aspects/beliefs/approaches to a much wider audience.
