I purchased this book when I was living at a friends house in Virginia, tirelessly working to save money to move to Colorado. That was in early July of 2017. It is now the end of March 2018, and I am writing this from Denver. This book is filled with sketches and scribbles from that strange little period of my life. Collaborations with my closest friends, drawings of my old roommates, thoughts and notes about myself, my work and where it's going, literally and physically. It's filled with every medium from pen and ink, copic markers, watercolor, acrylic and even nail polish. I wanted to fill this book with experiments, quotes from books, my thoughts and lots of love. I think it's a good representation of what it means to be an artist who doodles on bar napkins while they're serving to make ends meet, a human in the middle of a transitional period, that so many of us have to make in order to get where we want to be going.
