Edwin "Newbetter" Abrescy is the unflinching culmination of every decision he has made in his life. He is an artist, poet, and beautifier, who has spent his life trying to leave the world in a better place than he found it. He has worked a myriad of jobs, from the food service industry, mental health, and video games industry, and all manner in between, including freelance artist. Twice before in his life, he walked away from jobs in an effort to make art sustainable, twice he learned a lot, but returned to work. Now, as a founding member of the art guild, The Goodbye Society, he is making his third foray into following his dreams.
1. Art is to Beauty as Religion is to Spirituality.
2. As Artists, we have a three-fold responsibilty: One, to translate beauty into bite-sized pieces for those who can not comprehend it. Two, leave a mark on the timeline of human history to say "this is what life was like when I was alive." And Three, to leave behind something meaningful and impactful before our time on this earth is over.
3. It is easier to destroy than it is to build. Those who do not live to build, improve, transcend, or evolve this world into something better contribute to atrophy, and the general the decline of this world. "If you are not part of the solution, you're part of the problem."
