I used this sketchbook to explore one idea: what if all the pages in the book formed a single sheet of paper and I made one big drawing covering one side of that sheet. So I took the sketchbook apart: removed the staples, taped all the sheets to the wall to form one large surface and drew free hand with my favorite ballpoint pen. You can see the whole drawing on the front & back endpapers of the sketchbook. Then I put all the pages back into book format. Because I had only drawn on one side of the master sheet, half the pages in the book were blank. I made collages on the blank pages with cut out bits copied from the drawing. I am excited to have discovered a new book making process.
