I usually think of my sketchbook as a private place. It's where I work things out, think on paper, take notes and experiment. And it's also where I record things I don't want to forget. I have a thing about time passing and I usually paint and draw people because I think they mark our place in time and there is so much variety in people. So I did all those things in this sketchbook -- I experimented with new materials and I painted people. Not quite my normal sketchbook knowing that people would see it, but that's what made it unusual and unusual is good.
