It all started with the doodles on the inside of the back cover and the last page. Pages were doodled randomly. They were given a light wash with paint. After that, I had to find out just how far I could push the pages before they let go in some way. I crushed and folded pages for more texture before adding more layers of paint. I abandoned the idea of a sketchbook filled with patterns and doodles and chased after the idea of capturing shadows in the clouds and sky though texture and color.
