Colors, lines, New York characters, trees...as I walk around, I look and appreciate the City, then later I remember what I have seen. With ink and watercolor I sketch my thoughts. In this book, I drew the trees that are being cut as the Museum of Natural History is expanding, then some of the people I met by chance around the neighborhood, on the streets or in the subway. I can't forget them, they are unique, New York is such a parade, a grand scene where flamboyant personalities appear like shooting stars. I did not invent those people, I see them every day.
