I use my sketchbook as a visual diary - always carrying one with me, ready to record the places I find myself. This sketchbook documents life in the town in southern Andalucia, Spain, that I now call home. And these drawings were all created sitting under neath a Spanish sun, on various street corners or benches in this picturesque, historic town. Sometimes, I use sketches as references for my paintings; sometimes, they are works in themselves. I also work in acrylics, pastels and watercolours; create mosaics with seaglass; and decorate furniture with intricate geometric Islamic designs.
