What a fantastic Christmas gift from my dear friends Paul, Dee, & Ben! Thank you!
These pen & ink sketches are from a trip I took to Santa Fe, NM last year (November, 2018) with my good friend and accomplished artist, Brad Price. I met Brad and his longtime friend, Phil Shroyer, who is also a very talented artist, for a week of driving in and around Santa Fe, NM enjoying each other's company, visiting the fantastic art galleries, experiencing excellent food, and wondering at the exceptional landscapes. It's really no wonder why artists gravitate to this area - it's gorgeous!
All of my sketches are based on pictures Brad, Phil, or I took during our trip.
After a week of being awed by the beauty of the area, Brad's wife Suzie and my wife Kim flew out to meet us and we all went to Meyer's Gallery on Canyon Road, Santa Fe, NM, to enjoy the opening of Brad's solo show ("Enchanted Expressions"). The show was a huge success and a perfect finish for a perfect week! I can't wait to go back sometime this year and, who knows, maybe it'll be the inspiration for my next sketchbook. ~ Don (firstname.lastname@example.org)
