I live in a land of wonder - the North. It's full of majesty, loveliness, things that are wildly miraculous. Here, and beyond my home, there are infinite beauties to admire in life; to experience, to hold, to share and value. This life is full of stories, made in every form. I adore books, one of my favorite forms of stories - perfect little packages of art. But they seem to come in every size and type, and it's nice to be able to admire them, and cherish them, and create them, give them, receive them. I enjoy them particularly when they have to do with things that are cozy, and gentle, and full of life (quiet and otherwise.) The night, the never-ending stars, the soft purr of a cat, the warm gift of every autumn leaf. The awe of places where others lived long ago, the thundering of a storm that fills your being, the satisfying comfort of being wrapped in piles of blankets. A kind gesture that brings tears, giving hands, the unfathomable love of our Creator. The sweet, floating song of a violin, feathery ferns, and mountains that glow. I am thrilled to be able to live with such nice things, and I hope to share that with anything I create.
