This sketchbook began with the January 2012 discovery of a lost, very rare portrait of Emily Bronte. This led to drawing over a dozen portraits that had either been lost or overlooked, researching their history and looking for any quotes the subjects might have made that related to the making of art. I sketched the portraits using a green pen and a limited palette of Twistable Crayola crayons.
